Entsorgo
A German online waste management platform launched in 2016 to digitalise container ordering and the full waste handling process.
About the project
entsorgo.de is a German online waste-management platform that has been digitalising container ordering and the entire waste-removal process since 2016: container rental, bulky-waste clearance and the environmentally conscious removal of many waste types, for individuals and businesses across Germany. The Milcomp team builds and operates the platform, from the ordering flow to the back-office systems.
The challenge
Waste logistics is traditionally a phone-and-paper industry: prices vary by region, waste type and container size, and customers often get a quote only after several rounds of back-and-forth. The goal was to make the whole process work online, instantly and transparently: the customer should see an exact price within minutes and order the service on the spot.
The solution
We built a platform where the customer gets a real-time price from an online calculator based on postcode, waste type and container size, then orders in a few clicks, on the web or in the mobile app. Each order is routed automatically to the right regional partner, the paperwork is fully digital, and customers can track their order around the clock. The system also automates the work of the hauling partner network: quote requests, confirmations, completion certificates and settlement all run on a single surface.
AI behind the scenes: invoices processed automatically
One of the platform's highest-impact features is AI-based invoice processing. Supplier invoices from the partner network are handled by a pipeline built on large language models (LLMs): it extracts the data, matches each invoice to its order, flags discrepancies and hands the items over ready for bookkeeping. Most of the manual data entry, and the errors that came with it, has been replaced by software. This solution has since become the foundation of Milcomp's AI services, which we now roll out for Hungarian companies as well.
Technology
The platform runs on Laravel (PHP) with real-time status updates over websockets, containerised (Docker) serving and Cloudflare protection. Continuous delivery is backed by automated tests and gradual, rollback-ready releases, because downtime is not an option for a system taking orders every day.
Results
entsorgo has become one of Germany's largest online waste-management providers: it handles thousands of orders a year, with container delivery available within hours. Thanks to the digital processes, order intake runs without human involvement, letting the team focus on exceptions and customer relationships. Evolving continuously since 2016, the platform shows how a player in a traditional industry can become a digital market leader.
